Clarity Pro Is Now Cantara Pro: What Has Changed and What Has Not

Written by JD Health Tech Product Specialist  |  Last updated: 26 October 2026

Clarity Pro is now called Cantara Pro. It is the same range from the same company, with the same model codes, the same app, the same 24-month warranty and the same UK support team. Only the name has changed.

If you own a Clarity Pro, own a Cantara Pro, or are comparing the two names while shopping, this page explains what changed, why, and how to be sure you are dealing with the right company.

One thing up front: JD Health Tech sells personal sound amplifiers. They are not hearing aids or medical devices, and this article is general information, not medical advice.

What has changed, and what has not

The name is the only thing that has changed. The products you may have seen or bought as Clarity Pro are now sold as Cantara Pro, and everything behind them stays the same.

Question Answer
Is the product different? No. Same products, same model codes.
Is the company different? No. JD Health Tech, with the same UK support team.
Does the app change? No. App models still use the free ForSound app.
What about my warranty? Cover continues for the full term from your original purchase date. New orders carry a 24-month warranty.
Is the home trial still offered? Yes. A 30-day home trial applies across the range.
What is different? The name on product pages, and over time on listings, emails and guides.

Which products are now called Cantara Pro?

Two current models carry the Cantara Pro name. Each one is the same product you may know under its previous Clarity Pro name.

Cantara Pro RIC (model JD-5118L-TE-BE). A receiver-in-canal style that sits behind the ear and is generally easier to handle. It works with the ForSound app and connects to your phone by Bluetooth for calls and music.
Cantara Pro Micro CIC (model JD-6118E). A small completely-in-canal style. It uses the ForSound app for settings only and does not stream audio.

The earlier Clarity Pro CIC has been discontinued. If you own one, it is still fully supported by our UK team.

The Clarity CIC range has not been renamed

Products listed as Clarity CIC keep that name. Only the Clarity Pro range became Cantara Pro, so check the model code if you are unsure which one you have.

Why did Clarity Pro change its name?

We changed the name so that our products and our support team are easier to tell apart from unrelated companies using similar-sounding names. A number of businesses sell hearing products under names close to Clarity Pro.

The practical effect was confusion. Some people contacted us about orders placed with other businesses, and others found it hard to work out who they had bought from. A distinct name makes that clearer for everyone.

It also means that searching for "Cantara Pro" should take you to us rather than to anyone else.

How to check you are dealing with the right company

Whatever the product is called, a few simple checks tell you who is behind a website. They take a couple of minutes and are worth doing before any online purchase.

1Look for UK company details. A genuine UK business shows its registered company name and address, which you can look up on the Companies House register.
2Check the returns address and policy. It should be clear, in the UK and easy to find before you order.
3Find a real support contact. Look for a contact page with a named company, not just a form or an email address.
4Compare the model code. Our model codes, such as JD-5118L-TE-BE and JD-6118E, appear on our product pages and order confirmations.
5Be wary of dramatic claims. Offers that promise to cure or restore hearing are a red flag for any seller.

Our contact details are on our contact page. For a closer look at spotting suspicious adverts, see our guides on whether ClarityPro is legit and how to spot fake hearing aid adverts on Facebook.

If you already own a Clarity Pro

You do not need to do anything. Your amplifiers work exactly as before, and your warranty and support are unchanged.

Support: our UK team can still help with fit, pairing and settings. Raise a request through your account at account.jdhealthtech.co.uk.
Accessories: replacement wax guards and domes are still available. Our guide to replacing domes and wax guards explains when to change them.
Old names: some pages, listings and emails still use Clarity Pro while we update them. Treat any mention of Clarity Pro as the same range.

If you are shopping for the first time

Cantara Pro is a personal sound amplifier range for mild to moderate everyday listening challenges, such as conversations in busy places or the television. It is not a hearing aid, and it is not right for everyone.

If your hearing has changed suddenly, or you have significant difficulty hearing, speak to your GP or a registered hearing professional first. If you are weighing up options, our Clarity Pro reviews guide shows what customers have said, and hearing aids versus hearing amplifiers explains the difference.

Clarity Pro and Cantara Pro: common questions

Yes. Cantara Pro is the new name for the range previously sold as Clarity Pro. The products, model codes, warranty, app and UK support team are the same. Only the name has changed.

We changed the name to make our products and our support team easier to tell apart from unrelated companies that use similar-sounding names. Some people had been contacting us about orders that were placed with other businesses, which was confusing and unfair to them. A distinct name makes it clearer who you are dealing with.

Neither. It is the same range from the same company, JD Health Tech, with a new name. The Cantara Pro RIC is model JD-5118L-TE-BE and the Cantara Pro Micro CIC is model JD-6118E.

Yes. Warranty cover continues for the full term from your original purchase date, and the UK support team can still help with fit, pairing and settings. Keep your order confirmation, as it is the quickest way for us to find your purchase.

Two models carry the Cantara Pro name: the Cantara Pro RIC, which sits behind the ear, and the Cantara Pro Micro CIC, a small in-canal model. The older Clarity Pro CIC has been discontinued, but owners are still supported.

No. The Clarity CIC range keeps its name. If your product is listed as Clarity CIC rather than Clarity Pro, nothing has changed for you. If you are unsure which model you have, the model code on your order confirmation will tell you.

No. Cantara Pro products are personal sound amplifiers designed for clearer everyday listening. They are not hearing aids or medical devices and do not diagnose, treat or cure any hearing condition. If you have concerns about your hearing, speak to your GP or a registered hearing professional.

Reviews written under the Clarity Pro name relate to the same range, so they remain relevant. Our guide to what customers say about Clarity Pro collects them in one place, and the product pages show current reviews.

We can only help with orders placed with JD Health Tech, so check your confirmation email to see who the seller was. If it was not us, contact that seller first. If you cannot reach them, your payment provider can advise on your options. If you are unsure, send us your order details and we will tell you whether it is one of ours.
