Product Description

JD Health Tech · Personal Sound Amplifier

Set Up to Suit You. Built for Your Day.

The Clarity Pro Micro CIC is for people who have started noticing that everyday sounds take more effort than they used to: conversations at the dinner table, the TV you keep turning up, the question from the other room you had to ask them to repeat. Unlike basic amplifiers that apply a blanket boost, the Clarity Pro Micro CIC connects to the free ForSound app for a short guided setup that adjusts amplification for each ear separately, so it suits what you find comfortable. Three listening modes, 16-channel digital processing, Environmental Noise Cancellation and IPX-4 splash resistance. The app is for sound personalisation only, and this device does not stream audio. Completely in canal, and discreet in everyday wear.

Who this suits best

  • Adults who find conversations increasingly difficult to follow in everyday settings
  • Anyone who wants discreet in-canal sound support they can set up themselves at home
  • Active adults who need IPX-4 rated protection for daily wear
  • Those who want a personalised setup but simple day-to-day use, with one button once you are set up

What makes the Clarity Pro Micro CIC different

🎯
Set up to suit you via the ForSound app, not a generic boost Download the free ForSound app, pair via Bluetooth, and follow the short guided setup. It adjusts amplification for each ear separately to suit what you find comfortable, rather than applying the same boost to every sound. You can also fine-tune balance and settings manually at any time. Most people complete the setup in around 15 minutes. The device works without the app, but it is worth doing the setup properly before you wear them for the first time. It makes a noticeable difference. Important: Bluetooth is used for the ForSound app only. This device does not stream audio from your phone, TV, or any other source.
🔇
Three listening modes, one button to switch Three selectable listening modes adapt to different everyday environments, switched with a single press of the button on the device. Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) runs continuously across all modes to reduce unwanted background interference and help speech stand out. ENC is effective in moderate noise. In very loud environments such as busy pubs or live events, it has limits.
👂
Completely-in-canal design, discreet and naturally comfortable The CIC form factor places the device inside the ear canal, leaving very little visible from outside. The buds are beige, close to skin tone, which adds an extra layer of discretion. At normal conversational distance most wearers are not noticed at all. Five silicone ear tip sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) are included. Fit directly affects sound clarity, feedback and comfort during extended wear, so take time finding your size. Most fit and feedback issues are resolved by simply changing the tip.
🔋
14 hours per charge, around 70 hours total with the case Each amplifier delivers up to 14 hours of listening on a single charge, with approximately 2 hours to fully recharge. The USB-C charging case holds enough power for approximately four further full charges, giving around 70 hours of total listening before the case needs recharging. The case has an LED charge display so you can see at a glance how much power is left. Simply place the amplifiers in the case to recharge, with no cables needed at the device itself. Case charges via USB-C (cable included). No mains plug supplied, so use your own USB-C charger or plug into a laptop.
💧
IPX-4 splash resistance, ready for active daily wear IPX-4 means the device handles sweat, light rain, and the moisture that comes with an active day without a second thought. For gym sessions, commuting in the rain, or wearing through a warm day, the rating means you do not need to worry. IPX-4 is not waterproof, so do not submerge, shower, or swim wearing these.
🎚️
Single-button control, no complexity in day-to-day use One button manages power, seven volume levels, and all three listening modes. No app needed for daily use once you have completed the initial setup. Powers on automatically when removed from the case and off when placed back in.

Is this right for you?

✅ A good fit if you…

  • Want sound support set up to suit your own ears rather than a blanket boost
  • Prefer a discreet CIC design that sits inside the ear canal
  • Lead an active lifestyle and want IPX-4 rated splash protection
  • Want simple day-to-day use once the initial setup is done

❌ May not be right if you…

  • Need Bluetooth audio streaming for music, TV, or phone calls
  • Have severe hearing loss, in which case please consult an audiologist
  • Have reduced dexterity, as the CIC device is small and requires careful handling
  • Need a medical device, as these are personal sound amplifiers, not medical hearing aids

In real life

The boardroom

Richard, 54, is a partner at a law firm who started missing parts of client conversations in meetings. He needed something discreet enough that clients would not notice. The Clarity Pro Micro CIC sits fully inside the canal and is barely noticeable at conversational distance. The beige bud colour blends naturally, so even at close quarters nothing draws the eye. After running the guided setup in the ForSound app, he found conversations noticeably clearer within the first day of wear.

The morning commute

Claire, 49, commutes by train and found busy carriages increasingly difficult to manage. Switching listening mode and letting ENC do its work cuts through ambient noise without drowning it out entirely, and the IPX-4 rating means she does not think twice about wearing them on a wet platform. She charges the case over the weekend and has more than enough power for the working week.

The living room

Graham, 67, was turning the TV up to levels his wife found uncomfortable. He wears the Clarity Pro Micro CIC from morning until evening. The 14-hour battery handles a full day comfortably, and the single button means he does not need to reach for his phone to make an adjustment.

⏱ What to expect in the first few days

Run the guided setup in the ForSound app before wearing for the first time. Download the app, connect via Bluetooth, and follow the steps. It takes around 15 minutes and it makes a noticeable difference to how clear things sound.

Your own voice will sound different, louder and more present than usual. This is normal and settles within a few days as your brain adjusts. Start at a lower volume and build up gradually.

If you experience feedback or whistling, work through the ear tip sizes methodically before adjusting volume, as fit is almost always the cause. If problems persist, contact our UK support team before returning.

Try it for 30 days at home

Give it at least a week before deciding, as the adjustment period is real and most buyers who persist find it worthwhile. If after a genuine trial it still is not right for you, our UK support team will arrange a return. Browse the full range to compare other models.

Questions buyers ask

Does this stream music or phone calls via Bluetooth?

No. The Bluetooth 5.3 connection is used exclusively for pairing with the ForSound app. The Clarity Pro Micro CIC does not stream audio from your phone, TV, or any other device. If Bluetooth audio streaming is important to you, browse our full range for models with that feature.

What does the ForSound app actually do?

The ForSound app guides you through a short setup that adjusts amplification for each ear separately, so the result suits what you find comfortable rather than applying the same boost to every sound. You can also fine-tune balance and settings manually at any time. Most people complete the setup in around 15 minutes. The device works without the app, but we recommend doing the setup before you wear them for the first time, because it makes a noticeable difference.

How discreet is the Clarity Pro Micro CIC to wear?

The completely-in-canal design means the device body sits inside the ear canal, with very little visible from the outside. The buds are beige, close to skin tone, so they blend naturally even at close range. At normal conversational distance most wearers attract no attention at all. The CIC style is one of the most discreet personal sound amplifier designs available, offering a significantly lower profile than behind-the-ear or standard in-ear earbud styles.

How do I know which ear tip size to use?

The Clarity Pro Micro CIC comes with five ear tip sizes: XS, S, M, L, and XL. Start with the medium (M) size. If sound feels muffled or the tip creates pressure, try a smaller size. If the tip feels loose or sound seems weak, try a larger size. A well-fitted tip directly affects sound clarity, comfort and feedback, so this step is worth taking time over.

Is IPX-4 the same as waterproof?

No. IPX-4 means splash-resistant, so it handles sweat, light rain, and incidental moisture from daily wear. Do not wear these in the shower, while swimming, or submerge them. For gym use, walking in light rain, or a full day of normal activity, IPX-4 is entirely sufficient.

My own voice sounds strange and loud. Is something wrong?

No, this is completely normal and one of the most common experiences for new users. The device amplifies everything, including the sound of your own voice, which can feel strange at first. Most users find it settles within a few days as the brain adjusts. Starting at a lower volume and building up gradually makes the adjustment period significantly easier.

How long does the battery last, and how does the charging case work?

Each amplifier delivers up to 14 hours of listening on a single charge (approximately 2 hours to recharge). The USB-C charging case holds enough power for approximately four further full charges, giving around 70 hours of total listening before the case itself needs recharging. The case has an LED charge display so you always know how much power is left. Simply place the amplifiers in the case to recharge, with no cables needed at the device itself. The case charges via USB-C (cable included).

Is this a medical hearing aid?

No. The Clarity Pro Micro CIC is a personal sound amplifier. It is not a medical device, does not require a prescription, and is not a substitute for clinical hearing correction. If you have diagnosed hearing loss, please consult a qualified audiologist. If you experience sudden hearing changes, persistent ear pain, or persistent ringing in the ears, consult a medical professional before use.

What if it does not work for me?

Return it within 30 days for a full refund. Before returning, please contact our UK support team, because in many cases a tip size change, a fit adjustment, or a change to the app settings resolves the issue. We would rather solve the problem than process a return, and most issues are fixable with a short conversation.

The Clarity Pro Micro CIC is a personal sound amplifier designed for general everyday listening situations in adults. It is not a medical device, hearing aid, or diagnostic tool, and is not intended to treat, cure, or correct hearing loss. If you have concerns about your hearing, we recommend consulting a qualified audiologist or your GP. Suitable for mild to moderate everyday listening challenges in adults.

Excellent hearing amplifiers

JD Health Tech Rechargeable Hearing Amplifiers for Adults, Discreet In-Ear Sound Amplifier with App Control, Bluetooth 5.3, Smart Noise Cancellation, 4 Listening Modes, 70hr USB-C CasePrice at time of review: £179.95These hearing amplifiers are incredibly well made. The look & feel is that of a top-end product. They come in & are charged by a rather nice case, similar to premium earbuds. I like that they will accept power from my fast charging hub.The manual is clear, concise & easy to read without my glasses. A pleasant change from many user manuals I struggle to read. The accompanying app is a quick download to my phone & takes you through the setup. Using this I discovered that there are certain frequencies that I struggle to hear & the app attempts to compensate. After finding the best fitting ear tips, annoying feedback was almost eliminated. I found them comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time.Using these does certainly improve my hearing, but I don’t wear them all the time as I do get by without & don’t want my ears to get too reliant on them. It’s a nice small aid to carry around though for important conversations.

comfortable and hardly noticeable once fitted

This discreet hearing amplifier is a good option for adults who need a little extra help hearing conversations without moving to a full hearing aid. I got these for a family member who sometimes struggles to follow conversations at family meals and while watching television, and they found them straightforward to use once set up via the app.The compact in ear design is comfortable and hardly noticeable once fitted. The correct size of ear tip sizes helped achieve a good seal and the lightweight buds stayed comfortable for long periods. Sound quality is clear and the different listening modes make it easier to adapt to different environments. The noise reduction feature also helps reduce some background distractions when chatting in busy rooms. The charging case is well designed with a useful battery display, and the long battery life means less worry about frequent charging. The app provides extra adjustment options for those who want more control.Overall, this is a well thought out personal sound amplifier that is easy to use and comfortable to wear.

Very impressive! They improve sound levels and clarity, they’re well made and comfortable to wear.

JD Health Rechargeable Hearing AmplifiersI was very impressed with the look of these amplifiers from the start. The packaging is very smart which always helps to give a good impression. You get the amplifiers in their own hard case which also acts as a charger, you get a cable to attach to the case for charging, several sets of silicon ear tips in different sizes so that you can select the most appropriate ones and then you get a cleaning brush and of course the instructions. I found the instructions to be very clear and easy to follow. As far as ease of use goes I think theses buds are pretty versatile, you can control them directly or you can use an app. In my opinion the app makes things much easier but I am aware that some people will shy away from the tech option but that’s fine, I think it’s good that you get the choice. The buds are very discrete, they fit comfortably into the ear and once in place I don’t think they are very noticeable at all. Mind you so many people walk around with ear buds in these days that no one would notice any way.I think these buds very usefully fill that gap for people who have slight hearing loss but not enough to warrant forking out a fortune for proper hearing aids.I currently have eustachian tube disfunction which sometimes leaves me with a blocked ear and muffled hearing on one side. It’s a peculiar feeling because you can hear sounds but it’s difficult to determine from which direction they are coming from. I found these plugs really useful to wear at times when my ears are bad. They really make a difference as to what I can hear and how clearly I can hear it. I found them to be comfortable to wear even for quite long periods of time and I had no issues with them connecting to the app via Bluetooth. I like the different modes that you can select depending on your environment and I like that I can quickly and easily turn the sound level down if I’m somewhere that I don’t want enhanced sound, which actually for me is a lot of places lol.The battery life seems excellent, they would easily get you through several days but to be honest it’s easy to just charge it up every night. There is a notification on the case that tells you what percentage of charge is remaining which is a great feature and stops the wondering. All in all I am really pleased to have come across these amplifying earbuds, they are just what I needed, they are discrete, they work well and they seem good quality. No they are not cheap, but if you have mild hearing loss that is starting to cause problems then they are well worth the price, and they are just a fraction of the price of dedicated hearing aids.

a practical and feature-rich option for mild hearing support

I used these hearing amplifiers for about a week in a range of settings, including at home, outdoors, and in social situations, to see how well they improve clarity and overall usability for mild hearing loss. On first impression, the devices look compact, discreet, and well-made. The in-ear design is subtle and lightweight, making them easy to wear without drawing attention. The build quality feels good. The materials are lightweight yet durable, and the charging case is solid and practical for everyday use.In terms of comfort, they fit securely in the ear and are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. Setup is straightforward, and the app's controls are intuitive, making it easy to adjust settings and customise the listening experience. Sound quality is clear, with effective amplification that helps improve hearing across different environments. The noise reduction feature works well, helping to minimise background noise and improve clarity in busier settings. The different listening modes are useful, allowing you to adapt the sound profile depending on the situation. Bluetooth connectivity is stable and easy to pair, adding flexibility for additional uses. Battery life is strong, lasting close to the advertised duration, with the charging case providing extended use between charges.Charging via USB-C is quick and convenient, making it easy to keep them ready for use. The controls are simple and user-friendly, making daily operation straightforward. After a week of use, they continue to perform reliably with no issues. In terms of value, they feel reasonable given the features and performance. The main issue to consider is that they are not a replacement for hearing aids; they are amplifiers.Overall, they are a practical and feature-rich option for mild hearing support, offering improved clarity and convenience for everyday use.

I have Eustachian tube disorder and these helped me hear more clearlyExpensive but well worth it

I have what is called Eustachian tube disorder in my left ear, this disorder makes it difficult for me to clearly hear sounds as everything tends to sound muffled. I have previously tried hearing amplifiers, and I must say that this pair are far superior to the two sets that I have tried before. They are very easy to operate and the instruction leaflet is well written and clear to follow, including the section on the installation and use of the app called FORSOUND.In addition the different sizes of ear tips, a set of eight wax removal tools are also included, something that none of the other sets provided. Once again the instruction leaflet gives clear and simple information on the use of these tools.I wore these amplifiers two days ago for a period of eight hours and was amazed to find that they had only use 13% battery and took very little time to recharge fully to 100%. During these eight hours I found that I was able to clearly hear everything around me and even eavesdrop on a conversion being held on the next table in the restaurant! I did find that some noises were unwelcome, such as the very loud bleeping of the car when reversing, but suspect that over time I would learn to filter out noises that I wasn't interested in (having said that our car is a KIA, and EVERYBODY says that the reversing beeps made by KIA cars are always too loud...).I was tempted to only place the left hand amplifier in, but found that it was much better if I used both of them even though the right ear didn't need it.I acknowledge that these are quite expensive but they are certainly a lot cheaper than a customised hearing aid, and are well worth trying to see if this improves your hearing in the same way that it has improved mine.

Great hearing amplifiers

Remarkably good and very discreet as the end of the ear amplifiers are a beige skin tone colour. They are easy to use and I put them straight in to try them, immediately they were working, I could hear my own voice so I think at first the volume was too high. The charging and docking station is so good, when put back in the docking station it displays how much charge is left. They have to be placed perfectly correct back in the docking station for them to charge. You have a left and a right, each amplifier has L or R on the bottom of them. The instructions are very good and cover all instructions, in picture form and written. There is also a care and fitting leaflet which is good. The performance of these hearing amplifiers is very good and I am looking forward to hearing all the gossip next time I'm out with my girl friends instead of struggling to hear what's being said. I would definitely give these ago, they are comfortable to wear, I don't wear them all the time but for occasional wear I like them and will probably increase the amount of time I use them gradually. I'm happy to recommend these.

Boosts hearing and easy to operate

I ordered these for my elderly father, who has started finding some everyday conversations and television dialogue a little harder to follow, especially with certain accents, but he was not ready to go down the route of full hearing aids. The first thing that impressed me was how small they are, and once fitted, they are surprisingly discreet. The charging case is compact enough to sit on a bedside table without taking up much room and battery life also seems excellent. The case displays the remaining charge clearly, so there is no anxiety about constantly looking for replacement batteries. What I appreciate most is that they work straight out of the box. My father has zero interest in smartphone apps or complicated technology, so being able to adjust volume and listening modes directly on the devices is important. The optional app is there if you want additional control, but it is not essential for day-to-day use.It might take a few minutes to find the correct ear piece fit, but it makes a noticeable difference to both comfort and sound quality. Once fitted properly they stay secure and are comfortable enough for extended use.In use, they seem most effective in the situations the manufacturer describes: conversations at home, family meals and watching television at a sensible volume. He found voices sound clearer and speech is easier to follow. They are not a miracle cure and it takes a while to adapt. Clearly, they are not intended to replace professionally fitted hearing aids for significant hearing loss, but they do provide a useful boost for mild everyday listening difficulties.I also appreciate the honest marketing, since the listing makes it clear these are personal sound amplifiers, rather than regulated hearing aids, and that they are not designed for severe hearing loss or very noisy environments, so I found that realistic approach refreshing. For someone who occasionally struggles to hear conversation clearly and wants a simple, rechargeable and discreet solution, these have proved a worthwhile addition.

Thanks from JD Healthtech

Thanks from JD Healthtech for my previous purchase for in-ear amplifiers, which Identified a fault, which is being investigated. So, I decided to purhase these CIC's and are perfect for my ears and work exactly s stated and are very high quality! I hope thye continue to be the case overtime and the APP is also very useful and easy to navigate. I used them playing golf at the weekend and the noise cancellation works brilliantly too, with the wind conditions too. The Hearing test for personal calibration is also very intuitive too!

Hi Philip, we're thrilled to hear you're happy with the CICs and that they’re working well for you, especially outdoors! Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope they continue to serve you perfectly. Enjoy your golf sessions!

High Quality

Brilliant set of amplifiers. Extremely discrete, due to the colour but more so how little they stick out of the canal. Exceptional sound quality with no whistling issues on my testing and very natural sounding. Much better than transparency modes on high end ear buds which sound very digital/robotic unlike these. Battery life is fantastic and charging case is just like those high end earbuds. Really impressed by the quality and think they are worth their price.

Hearing aids

Bought these hearing aids because I had forgotten to bring the charger for my ‘ Resound. ,’ Being away for a few days I really needed something..I have never been completely satisfied with Resound, wearing glasses and having the behind the ear hearing device was not the most comfortable experience. These cheap little things, I thought would be cast aside when I returned home.Last all day. and more. Are comfortable, after a while were forgotten. No high pitch ladies voices, my other hearing aids made these unbearable. And at the price we’re so much cheaper so good I am delighted.Everyone’s hearing is differen, these may not work so well for all people but for me, I am sticking with them. Being in my 90’s and liking programs that need a running commentary these open doors for me.I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Excellent quality hearing amplifiers

I ordered these JD Health Tech Rechargeable Hearing Amplifiers for Adults, Discreet In-Ear Sound Amplifier with App Control, Bluetooth 5.3, Smart Noise Cancellation, 4 Listening Modes, 70hr USB-C Case for my husband who is on the never ending NHS waiting list for hearing aids. He was really struggling especially in work and when socialising - it is very isolating not being able to hear.He absolutely loves these, he can hear much more now when using these. The sound quality is great and they are very discrete when wearing. I have NHS hearing aids and they are comparable in quality. Excellent product.

Clear sound

These made conversations noticeably clearer without making everything sound overly loud. They are small and discreet and the different sized ear tips made it easy to get a comfortable fit.The controls on the devices are simple but the app is useful for making smaller adjustments to the sound. The different listening modes help when moving between quieter rooms and places with more background noise.Battery life has been very good and the charging case gives several extra charges before it needs plugging in. The case also shows the remaining battery level, which is nice.I've had these in use for over a month and they have been reliable. Not cheap, but good value for money.

Excellent for the money

I new to this hearing aid game so I was somewhat disturbed by the £1900 pound quote from spectators for a decent hearing aid, or I'd have to go to the doctors for a national health one. I wasn't keen on either so I tried amazon and came across this at £179. Same day delivery as well so I gave it a go and thought if it's rubbish I'll send it back. Anyway it's been an eye (or ear) opener!!!Clear sound as soon as I put them in, tv on low and now my Mrs doesn't have to shout. Im very happy at the moment although im still getting used to them and it's going to be a journey of trial and error to get them working spot on for me but im so pleased with them and the £1700 ish saving ive made. Longevity will be the next test.

They work very well

The first time I popped these little digital amplifiers into my ears, my son was reading out loud from his school book across the room. I could pick up every odd wobble in his pronunciation and it made me grin like a fool. The devices arrive in a neat charging pod that easily slips into a jacket pocket. They look more like tiny wireless earbuds than any medical kit, so I never feel self-conscious when I wear them on the bus. Each earpiece nestles just inside the canal behind a soft silicone dome. Three dome sizes come in the box, and swapping them is straightforward. Charged overnight, the batteries carry me through an entire day, roughly eighteen hours, before the lights on the case remind me to plug in again. Volume is altered with a single button on each earpiece. It works, though I need a fingernail to find the sweet spot and my wife, who keeps her nails short, mutters about it being fiddly.Comfort is their biggest win. I wore them on a windy Sunday walk over the Downs, no itching, no squealing feedback when I tucked my scarf up around my neck. Speech has a nice crisp edge, whether in the kitchen or on a video meeting. All told, the sturdy build, dependable battery, and genuine boost to conversation make these amplifiers good value for anyone who needs a subtle helping hand with their hearing.
