These hearing amplifier works really well. The audio quality is good and it makes listening to the TV, radio and havin conversations much easier if you're becoming hard of hearing. Comfortable to wear even for extended periods, easy to set up and use. The charging case is good and handy to keep them together and secure when not in use. Good battery life. I would recommend them.
I have used NHS aid for a number of years and previous hearing amps from other companies left me unimpressed. I was scammed by another company recently and went to ChatGPT for advice on reputable vendors. They suggested JDHealth so I purchased the behind the ear rechargeable units. Initially I was having problems with battery life but learned that streaming dramatically reduces the charge time. It took me a bit of trial and error with advanced settings and ear pieces but I am now very happy with these units. Sound quality is excellent for the money and a tip is that once you find the optimum settings switch off Bluetooth on your phone and you’ll get the 15 hour charge. If you want to listen to music on blue tooth or use for phone conversations the sound quality really is pretty good. I’ve recommend to my brother in law too who complained that his hearing was getting quite poor. No hesitation in recommending these especially with 2 year guarantee if purchased directly from the company.
I ordered these amplifiers for my mum to try out.She’s 90 and now lives with us and we could often feel the vibrations from her telly as it was on so loud, and she seldom heard what I was saying the first time.She likes to watch her tv series and I think she was finding it harder and harder to follow them.She’s a very stoic Scottish lady and has resisted trying a hearing aid but agreed to give these a go, I think because they look so discreet.I have to say she was very surprised by how much difference they’ve made to her life, and in a sense they have opened it back up again.It’s essential that you do read the instructions to get the position and the fit right to get the full benefit of these amplifiers.They are simple to control and adjust and like anything they take a little time to get used to the settings, but they are comfortable straight away and come with a selection of domes so you get just the right fit. They are not needlessly complicated to set up, and they are easy to use day to day.They feel incredibly light and their battery life is brilliant easily lasting the full day, at night I just pop them back in the case so they’re ready for the morning, and the case has a UV light which sanitises them.My mum is house bound for the most part and so we haven’t been able to try them outside or in particularly noisy situations and we’ve not needed to take the case out with us, but it would be very simple to do so.Before getting these, phone calls and conversations were almost impossible and she simply couldn’t catch what people were saying, and this meant she was starting to feel increasingly isolated from family members especially those who couldn't visit in person.Now she can fully enjoy her shows without needing the subtitles on or the telly to be on max volume.They have genuinely opened up her world and reconnected her and I think they’re good value.I hope you find my experiences helpful.
I like how small and discreet these sound amplifiers are. I mainly wanted something to help me hear conversations and follow the TV without constantly asking people to repeat themselves. The different ear tips are useful for finding a more comfortable fit, and the simple controls make adjusting the volume fairly straightforward once you get used to them. I also appreciate not having to download an app or mess around with Bluetooth settings. The charging case is a nice bonus, especially with the battery display, and it’s convenient to have everything stored together. Overall, they’re compact, easy to carry around and a practical option for everyday listening support.
The hearing amplifier is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box and is neatly packed in protective foam, with a carton of accessories alongside it. The two earpieces are housed in a charging case similar in size and format to common wireless earbud cases.The charging case is charged using the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. It is recommended that the case and earpieces are initially charged for 10–12 hours to ensure the batteries are fully topped up. After this, future charges of 2–3 hours should fully charge everything.If the hearing amplifier is not being used, monthly charging will help keep the batteries in good condition. Having rechargeable batteries is a significant improvement over replaceable hearing-aid cells, particularly for less dexterous older users.When the case is being charged, a display shows the remaining charge percentage, and bar graphs on either side show the status of the earpieces. The display disappears when the batteries are fully charged.When the earpieces are returned to the case, UV lights are activated. A visible blue indicator light shows the function is operating; the UV LEDs themselves are located behind the two small windows either side of it.The earpieces turn on automatically when they are removed from the case and retain the previously used volume and mode settings. To prevent feedback and accidental button presses while inserting them, they are briefly deactivated and play a short jingle lasting about fifteen seconds.A single button on each earpiece controls all operations. A long press turns them on and off. If they are returned to the case while switched off, this state is cancelled and charging begins automatically, ready for the next use. This helps ensure the earpieces are always ready when needed.A single quick press of the button increases the volume, with spoken prompts cycling through “volume up”, “volume max”, and “volume min”. Two quick presses change the operating mode, announced as “mode one”, “mode two”, and “mode three”.The three modes are intended for different environments: mode 1 general use, mode 2 indoors, and mode 3 outdoors.One disadvantage of the button is that it can be easy to press while handling the earpieces, although this may become less of an issue with familiarity. To assist insertion and removal there is a small “handle” to grip between the fingertips, though it is not particularly easy to locate.The accessories box includes the charging cable, two zip-lock bags each containing seven different sizes of silicone domes (one set for each earpiece), a small cleaning brush, and a lanyard for the charging case. A small hook is also included to help thread the lanyard through the case.I have added photographs of the instructions, which outline the available functions and describe an acclimatisation process for first-time use.First impressions are good, and this compares favourably with others I have tried.
