Product Description

Hear more clearly. Without anyone knowing.

Private hearing aids typically cost £1,000–£3,000+. Many buyers use these as a practical step before committing to that level of investment — or simply find they don't need to.

Are these right for you?

These work best for adults with mild everyday hearing difficulty — people who struggle to follow conversations clearly, find themselves turning the TV up, or lose the thread in noisier places like restaurants or group settings.

They are likely a good fit if you:

  • Notice difficulty with conversation clarity rather than severe hearing loss
  • Want something discreet that nobody will see
  • Prefer simple controls with no app or Bluetooth setup
  • Are looking for a practical, lower-cost option before committing to clinical hearing aids

They are probably not the right choice if you:

  • Need or expect Bluetooth connectivity — these do not have it
  • Have diagnosed hearing loss or need clinical correction — please see an audiologist
  • Have reduced dexterity — the controls are small and can be fiddly
  • Want to wear them continuously for 10+ hours — for very long wear, a behind-the-ear style tends to be more comfortable

What to expect in the first few days

Most buyers take a few days to adjust. Your own voice will sound louder at first. There can be a faint background hiss at higher volumes, which is normal at this price point. Starting at a lower volume and building up gradually helps. If you notice whistling, try a different dome size before adjusting the volume.

Not sure if CIC is the right style? We also offer a behind-the-ear version for people who prefer larger controls or longer daily wear. See all hearing amplifiers.

These are personal sound amplifiers, not medical hearing aids. Designed for everyday listening situations such as conversation, TV, and social settings. If you have diagnosed hearing loss or require clinical hearing correction, please consult a qualified audiologist.

Questions? We've Got Answers

No. They are personal sound amplifiers designed to enhance everyday listening clarity. It is not a medical hearing aid and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or correct hearing loss.
Yes. They are designed to sit neatly in the ear for a discreet, low-profile look.
They include adaptive noise reduction designed to soften some background sound and help you focus on speech. Performance varies depending on the environment and fit. This is a recurring FAQ theme in your source files.
Up to 12 hours per charge, with up to 140 hours stored in the charging case.
No. This model is designed for simple everyday use, without app setup or Bluetooth pairing.
Whistling usually means the fit is not secure or the volume is too high. Trying a different ear dome size and reinserting fully can help reduce feedback.
We understand that hearing amplifiers are a personal product, and not every style or sound will suit everyone straight away. That is why we offer a 30-day home trial. If you decide they are not suitable for you, you can return them within the trial period in line with our returns policy. We do recommend giving them a little time first, as fit, comfort, and everyday sound can take a short period to get used to.
We recommend giving them a little time before making a decision. For many people, the fit, feel, and everyday sound can seem unfamiliar at first, especially in the first few days. Trying them in the situations that matter most to you — such as watching TV, chatting at home, or going out for a meal — can give you a better sense of whether they are the right choice for you.

Hearing aids that work.

Took the ear buds out of the box and read the instructions. They were clear and easy to follow. After charging for 22 hours as required I lowered the volume and put them iny ears.Wat a difference. I can hear everything without straightening. I can wear my glasses comfortably with them in,which was the problem with my NHS behind the ear aids. I'm glad I eventually found these and decided to go ahead and buy them.

Small, discreet and easy to use

This hearing amplifier is small and fits neatly in the ear, so it’s hardly noticeable when worn. The sound is clear and helps make conversations easier to follow. The noise reduction also helps cut down background noise, which makes it more comfortable to use.The charging case is convenient, and the battery life has been good. Overall, it’s easy to use, discreet, and practical for everyday support. Would recommend it.

Phantom
Invisible CIC hearing amplifier

Actually, I picked these up for my father who was starting to miss out on bits of conversation during Sunday lunch, and the "invisible" claim is no joke. Once they’re tucked into the ear canal, you really can’t see them unless you’re looking directly into the ear, which was a huge plus for him since he was a bit self-conscious about wearing a traditional aid. The beige color blends in perfectly with skin tones, making them incredibly discreet for daily wear. The sound quality is surprisingly sharp—he mentioned that the "noise reduction" does a brilliant job of cutting through the background clatter of a busy restaurant while still keeping voices clear. One thing that was a bit of a faff was the initial setup; because they’re so tiny, they can be a bit fiddly to get into the right position, and if you don't get a perfect seal with the silicone tips, you get a high-pitched whistling feedback. We had to try three different ear tip sizes before finding the one that stayed silent. Also, while the 140-hour total battery life from the charging case is fantastic, the actual amplifiers only last about 12 to 15 hours on a single charge, so you definitely have to remember to pop them back in the case every night. It’s a very handy, simple bit of kit for anyone needing a bit of a boost though, and it’s much more affordable than the high-end clinical versions. Happy enough with it.

A great aid for those with some hearing loss.

I suffer from some hearing issues especially in crowded rooms and I find it is quite intermittent from day to day. So this hearing amplifier is a good option. The instructions tell you to ease yourself into using it, so I have been trying it out over a week or more now with good results. I can actually use the tv at a lower volume now. Meetup with friends is a lot easier and I don’t have to fill in the blanks as to what has been said now. I love the cute little case and the size of the aids is very discreet. I have found I can just take them out of my bag or pocket and pop them in when they are needed. Great that they are rechargeable too and no worries about batteries etc. very easy to set up and adjust. The price compared to other hearing aids is very reasonable. They offer enough support for people who are just starting to struggle with hearing loss but not suitable for people with severe hearing impairment.

Great Fit, Great Clarity, and All‑Day Comfort. Powerful Amplification in a Discreet Earbud...

These earbuds are designed to amplify the sounds around you while also having a much smaller footprint compared to the old-style hearing aids. They come with their own charging case, and once the buds are placed inside, they begin charging automatically. The case features LEDs which show the remaining battery percentage. The case itself charges via USB C, and a cable is included. You also get multiple sizes of silicone ear tips so you can choose the best fit.I wasn’t sure how well these would fit, as some Bluetooth earbuds tend to fall out of my ears, but I didn’t have that issue here. They’re lightweight and smaller than typical earbuds, so they sit comfortably inside the ear canal. Each bud has its own power switch and volume controls, allowing you to set the level to your preference. There’s also a small stick with a rounded end to help remove them easily. The buds automatically power on about 10 seconds after being removed from the case, which helps prevent any sudden squealing feedback and gives you plenty of time to insert them before they activate.Once they activate, the ambient audio around you is noticeably enhanced. I started hearing sounds I’d never paid attention to before—TV dialogue, footsteps, conversations—everything becomes more present. After a few days, this effect naturally settles as your brain adjusts and begins filtering out unimportant background noise. The clarity is good, with only a very faint hiss that was quiet enough not to be distracting. As I got used to them, even conversations in busy environments became easier to follow, with voices standing out clearly above the surrounding noise. Battery life is solid. I wear them all day and recharge them when I get home. I also appreciate that the case has its own internal battery, so I can top up the earbuds even when I’m away from a power source.Overall, I’m really impressed. They fit securely, stay comfortable for long periods, and I often forget I’m even wearing them. They’re a definite upgrade from my older over ear style amplifiers

useful and discreet personal amplifier for mild loss

I’ve been using these Clarity CIC rechargeable hearing amplifiers for about a week in everyday situations such as conversations at home, watching TV, and going out, using them strictly as sound amplifiers rather than medical hearing aids. They’ve been worn regularly enough to get a good sense of how they perform in day-to-day life rather than just being tested briefly. The main user is an older adult with mild hearing difficulty, mainly struggling with clarity in conversations rather than severe hearing loss. With that in mind, the amplification feels helpful and appropriate for everyday situations. Out of the box, the in-ear design looks discreet, and once worn they’re barely noticeable, which is reassuring if you prefer something subtle rather than visible. They fit snugly in the ear and stay in place during normal movement. Comfort is good for short periods, such as watching TV or having conversations, although for very long wear I still find over-the-ear devices more comfortable. Sound amplification is clear and noticeable, making voices easier to follow without sounding harsh or overly distorted. Speech feels boosted rather than artificial. The built-in noise reduction does help to reduce some background noise, which makes it easier to focus on conversations in busier environments, although it’s not perfect. Controls are simple and fairly easy to use once you get used to them, even with slightly reduced dexterity, though there is a small learning curve at first.Battery life has been strong so far, lasting several days on a charge, which is more than enough for regular use. The charging case is compact, straightforward to use, and keeps the devices topped up without hassle. They’re also easy to store and carry when not in use.The main thing to be aware of is that these are sound amplifiers, not prescription hearing aids. They’re best suited to mild hearing support and everyday listening rather than more complex or clinically managed hearing needs.Overall, these are discreet, practical, and easy-to-use rechargeable hearing amplifiers. They provide a helpful everyday boost for conversations and TV listening, with the convenience of a charging case, as long as expectations are realistic about what this type of device is designed to do.

Clear sound and comfortable to wear

The sound is clear and makes conversations much easier to follow, especially when watching TV or talking with family. The noise reduction helps a lot by cutting down background sounds, so everything feels more natural and less tiring. They are very small and discreet, and once they’re in, you hardly notice them. I like that they come in different colours for left and right, which makes them easy to use. The fit is comfortable, and there’s no whistling as long as you choose the right ear tip and volume. The charging case is simple to use and keeps them powered for a long time. Battery life is excellent, and I don’t need to worry about charging them every day. Overall, these hearing amplifiers are easy to use, well made, and a great option for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss. I would recommend them.

Comfortable to wear and help amplify sound.

I have tinnitus (high pitched tone constantly in both ears) and I struggle to hear in crowded places. I don’t want to pay for really expensive hearing aids just yet, and am trying a few cheaper types before I commit to ‘proper’ hearing aidsI have tried a pair from the same manufacturer previously, and these are a definite improvement. In many ways. These hearing aids are reasonably small, lightweight and fit comfortably in your ear. They come with 7 different sizes of silicon bud to ensure a good fit in your ears. There is nothing gripping behind your ear, these fit inside your ears like audio earbuds. I found that I could wear these for a couple of hours in comfort. These were really good for watching TV.The volume of each bud can be adjusted with an included screwdriver. Once you’re comfortable with the volume level that’s it. No need to do anything else.Unlike the previous version, these buds are colour coded (blue-left ear, red-right ear) This means that if you need different volume levels in each ear, you know that the correct bud is on the correct side without having to make out a tiny ‘r’ or ‘l’ on an already tiny unit.It also means that you get them in the charging case correctly orientated first time, every time. They are charged in the case via a (supplied) USB-A to USB-C cable, with simple lights to tell you the state of charge in the case and each ear bud. Battery life is great. They seem to last for ages before needing to be recharged. They come with a decent set of instructions which can be read without the use of a magnifying glass! Which is nice nowadays. They definitely do amplify sounds, but there is a constant ‘white noise’. It isn’t overly loud and I don’t know whether this is an issue with higher priced hearing aids?Your own voice is very loud when you’re talking to others.I know there are hearing aids that are priced into the thousands of pounds, so at this price point I guess you have to accept certain limitations. These definitely help if you struggle to hear things at 'normal' levels.

They were bought for my mother who is 92 yrs old

They were bought for my mother who is 92 yrs old and living in South Africa. She has slight loss of hearing and requested some hearing aids so I bought these on the hope that they improve her hearing. She receives them on Tuesday. So let’s see what happens.

Hello John,

Thank you for taking the time to leave this, and how lovely that you've sorted these out for your mother, I hope they make a real difference for her.

A few things that may help her get on well with them from the start:

The amplifiers need a full 10 to 12 hour charge before first use, as this properly activates the battery.
They come with several ear tip sizes, and finding the right one makes all the difference, it should feel snug and secure but never forced.
There's usually a settling-in period of a couple of weeks while her ears and brain adjust, so it's worth persevering even if things sound a little odd at first. Our 4-week guide walks through what to expect: jdhealthtech.co.uk/pages/your-4-week-hearing-guide

One thing I should mention, as I'd rather you knew now than later: our returns are UK only, so if they don't turn out to be right for her, returning them from South Africa unfortunately isn't something we're able to arrange.

That said, if she does have any trouble with them, please do get in touch. Most issues we see are fit or setup related and can be sorted remotely, so we may well be able to help her get them working properly without anything needing to be sent back.

Do let me know how she gets on.

Warm regards
Jason, Customer Support
