I am in my 60's (husband 70's) and our hearing is just starting to get harder in certain environments. I thought I would give these a try and was pleasantly surprised.Advice it to fully charge the hearing amplifiers for 10-12 hours initially and after that they take 2-3 hours to fully charge.They come with a variety of different sizes buds to get a good fit, along with tiny brushes to clean the kitchen.I was delighted to find that they are very easy to insert and they do no need a smartphone to work.Volumn can be adjusted to 4 different levels. You can also adjust them to your environment by switching modes which are intelligent (everyday listening that adjusts automatically according to surrounds), Outdoor (background noise reduction e.g wind), Meeting (focuses on speech+ reducing background) and General (balanced listening everyday use). Although the instructions were to adjust gradually I found I needed no acclimatisation and the TV was instantly clearer. My husband found the same and as he suffers tinnitus he actually found this helpful as it made the outside sounds louder than the buzz in his ear.They fitted and worked perfectly straight from the box (once charged) and felt comfortable, no whistling other than when I removed them.They are so simple and easy to use.

In principle these seem like a good idea as a cost-effective. They are like regular ear buds in that they are gently placed in the ear. There looks to be some kind of noise amplifying “antenna” that emerges to the outside. There is a simple press button to step up the amplification in 4 gears. The amplifiers are activated by taking them out of the charging case.My mother, who has dementia, did appear to report an increase in hearing sensitivity but I could also hear some whistling or feedback. This was more noticeable at higher volumes. However, I think the main problem was that she constantly wanted to touch the aids in the ear – clearly this didn’t help. This meant that they kept coming loose and they would either fall out or she would just remove them. I need to be patient to try and get this right for her – there are different size tips which could fit better perhaps.The battery life is reported at 12h once removed from the case. This means they must be put back in for recharging overnight. This is something I will also need to do for her as she will not remember when or how to do this. To be clear the 60h battery life referred to it the description I think refers to the charge the case can hold – not the aids themselves. I also note that the 12h life is at the second setting – presumably they will last much less at higher volumes which means they may not last a normal day.Of course, at under £75 these are a lot less than even the cheapest fitted hearing aids. The potentially biggest compromise is the lack of a tailored mould for the ear canal meaning that they can more easily become dislodged.Overall, a possible solution to poor hearing but this requires a lot of fine tuning and adjustment which means they may not be suitable for more vulnerable users.

I must admit that I had never heard of this particular brand before now, so I didn’t really know what to expect from them. Although both of these ear amplifiers worked straight away from the box, I still chose to charge them up overnight because I needed to be able to use them all day (roughly around 12 hours of use) to see if they were suitable for me and my level of hearing loss…but I needn’t have worried about that because I just needed to use a different size of the silicone flange (as I have tiny ear canals) and these come with 4 different sizes of tips, from small to extra large, so the smallest ones were most suitable and comfortable for me.With no additional setup needed, and no need for either Bluetooth or any app (or extra accessories to buy), these have everything necessary in the pack, including a cleaning brush, a small, lightweight and easily portable charging case, plus an instruction booklet. This day and age, I really don’t want to have to download and set up yet another app that might not keep my details safely; so to find out that I didn’t need to do any of this, was a really great bonus for me, and I appreciated that.Once fully charged up, (they have tiny LED lights that indicate how much charge is left, which is very handy) and the correct size of ear tips in place; these ear amplifiers are extremely discrete and barely noticeable, especially if you compared them with the usual type of hearing aids…and these were far cheaper than what I’m used to spending. Using them was really simple with just one button that switches between the 4 separate modes and the 4 different levels of sound needed, so it couldn’t really be any easier than that.The 4 modes range from an automatic intelligent mode that adjusts to the surroundings and the situation; next is the outdoor mode which helps to reduce wind and background noise, whereas the meeting mode prioritises individual voices in quieter environments and finally there’s a more general mode which is balanced for different daily life. I could only detect any feedback/whistling from them when I was removing them at night but even then it was still less than what I would normally expect to get. So, all in all, these ear amplifiers combine excellent performance with great value for money and they’re extremely easy to use and I didn’t have any problems with them whatsoever. I’m really happy to recommend them.

So, everyone else has explained these quite well, there are 4 modes, they work quite well for what you need in a day-to-day life.I was quite surprised at how well the outdoor one worked actually, it does let you hear things without amplifying things like wind noise etc.The 60 hours recommended is just the charge you can get from a fully charged set plus the battery charging box itself (you have to insert them to recharge them overnight again), you will not get 60 hours out of the actual earpieces themselves without recharging in between.The earbuds are reasonably easy to get fitted but I found that one of my ears would not allow me to retain this without it slipping, weirdly, my other ear was perfect and I have no issue.Finally, these are not as good digital hearing aids, they are however significantly cheaper and I'm not sure that if you're just struggling, you'd want digital hearing aids, something like this will do just as well.Works really well for hearing the television etc.
